Quien lo iba a Pensar, Finalmente las Clases de Inglés Resultaron Divertidas

Particularly, I think I could finish so great my experience with English at university (but still must take the exam), why do I say this? Well, I think that the classes were very dynamic and motivating, in fact, I have a little percentage of absents, and that does not usually happen to me in English, I always felt it was rather a waste of time sitting be somewhere doing things that were really boring. However, with the teacher Beatriz, this was a very pleasant experience. I must be honest, and when I was in the class for the first time, I thought, "ok, this teacher will kill us ", however, and to my surprise, the teacher became the best English teacher I had in my university experience with English. Regarding some negative and good aspects, I am of those who prefer to work alone, I do not like teamwork or less be doing dynamic binding with a partner in class, but hey, that's my problem, and this time, always classes were fun, and sincere way, I think I learned a lot. Thinking about my strengths and weaknesses, I think I have a good command of the language at scientific level, reading a lot in English has made me acquire technical skills in the area I chose, as in the case of neuroscience, however, still have to learn a lot of vocabulary, and of course, understand the grammatical laws, because they always been my torture. Well, finally I can only say, thanks teacher for his cool curse, no doubt it is been a great experience. Cheers !

How anxiety scrambles your brain and makes it hard to learn

"How anxiety scrambles your brain and makes it hard to learn"

The Guardian, Neuroscience- Saturday 21 November

Link: http://www.theguardian.com/education/2015/nov/21/how-anxiety-scrambles-your-brain-and-makes-it-hard-to-learn

This article makes a very general review of anxiety, specifically those students who suffer from anxiety and have difficulty carrying out their daily work and affected their academic performance. While the article mentions some brain areas that are involved in the expression of anxiety in our body, such as the amygdale and the prefrontal cortex, a thorough review of these aspects is not done because it is not the objective of this article. A list of 10 tips that can help eager students, so that is not so difficult to do their work studies and can continue to have a normal life

I chose this article for two reasons primarily. First, I am an anxious person by nature, for many years I had to fight anxiety and treat thousands of tricks to reduce my anxiety in situations that do not help me. Being an anxious person has a number of circumstances in which we do not feel comfortable, and we would be in our room without anyone bothering us, however, as they say: "The world is outside," so it is necessary to face anxiety and not give up. Second, the neurosciences are my passion, and I know I'll have a career in this area, it is why i like this article, and I think from a scientific perspective, all the tips mentioned can be used at any given time.

Well, i hope that if any of you should also struggle with anxiety every, maybe you cn take these tips and feel it better.

Cheers !!

Blog Help !!

Hi everybody! I´m going to talk about some interested reading at the moment. To be honest, I prefer to do another thinks before to read. It´s not about “no knowledge”, but it´s so difficult to me spend time on reading. I´m always doing something else and I don’t feel how the time flies. However, now I´m reading a lot of pappers for the university.  Everyone is very interesting because this semester every student can choose the class and obviously, I choose some of them in relation with my personal interest. At the moment, my favorite is ”Para una formación sistémica en clínica”. This book is a compilation of little articles of deferent authors who white about the systemic theories on clinical psychology, to do therapy.  The basic principle is “everybody is building ourselves on the relationships with someone else and on that relation is where we must to work” I really enjoy that because that changes a lot of things in the therapeutic process, because is usual that the thought be “the problem is in each person who feels bad or different “. When that thought invade the therapy process, a lot of things are out on the analysis, because the majority of the situations about saddles or distress are make up with more than one person. Specially in this book, there are a lot of “prescribes” to make a complete therapy, using deferent factors and tools with the relations that the patient have.

The Mysterious of Sleep Process

Now im not reading a specific book or paper, i usually read different papers, because i don't need a lot of time to read one, a big paper have mm maybe 60 pages, when is a review, but, today in science you can find papers with only 2 or 3 pages. If i need to speak about a specific genre, i always read neurosciences papers in general, sleep; memory and learning process are my favorite’s topics. For example, i enjoying read about the influence of sleep in memory consolidation. In this point, we need to understand the basic process of the brain. We have different dynamics in our brains where the influence of electrical activity and chemical interactions are the base for all process in a person, in the case of the electrical activity we can identify different waves, like beta, alpha, theta and delta, but in sleep, we can find a common activity denomination, the slow wave sleep (SWS) and REM sleep (Rapid eyed movements). For memory consolidation the researches from the past 5 years have a consensus (mmm maybe) about the influence of the SWS, because in this specific moment of the sleep, the hippocampus is working on consolidation. In other part, the influence of odors and the facilitation of odor stimulation for memory consolidation are so interesting too. This area of research is very exciting for me, and i hope dedicate my life for new discoveries in the area, maybe in the future we can find a solution for memory problems and increase the understanding of the sleep and every function in relation with that wonderful and mysterious process.

What that F#@¬ With Our Future

Today I want to talk about the future, perhaps for many is stressful to think about what we will do when  finish college, or what then expects us to stop being a student, however, in my case, I think it's a very exciting time. I want to start working and to develop my work in science in a formal way, without having to spend time and obligations in other things, although this can happen throughout our lives, when we do what we like, the obligations don't generate stress and fatigue, on the contrary, allows us to enjoy what we do at all times.

For a couple of years ago I decided to dedicate my life, not just my career, to neuroscience, I think this area of research is the future, and having the necessary knowledge, one day thanks to various discoveries will be possible not only help a group of people, if not, why not, to all mankind. I am ambitious about my goals, and whenever I think of my profession, I think of breaking the barriers of the known and revolutionize knowledge. In this context, I would say: we should not set limits to our imagination and creativity, if we look at the sky, we need to think that is not an unreachable place, just take us a little longer to touch it, but eventually, it just depends of us.

Verde como el bosque, Gris como el cielo

I need to be honest, I'm not a green person, maybe sometimes, or everyday, i do different s things in consequence with that point of view, like turn off the lights in my house when i organize my things to university of work for example, or when i do anything, that's the true. I hate when people use lamps in the day, or even when is a little dark, for me, lamps are necessary only when is dark (very dark). However, is not part of my daily be a "green person", but, i think the human being is a animal of habits, and in this case, i remember when i lived for three months in Spain this year, principal in Barcelona,  recycling is part of many persons in that city (mm well, general in Europe), and for this month’s i was convert me in a "green person", and was very easy, in many parts of the city you can find different s kinds of artifacts or special places to recycling everything.

About if i support any Eco-organizations? no way, i don't believe in that kind of institutions, i prefer the union without name. In my situation, ohh almost forgot, i use my bike a lot (a lot), i hate (i not hate everything, is only for examples jaja), the public transport system, i never use it, now i live in Maipú, and many times i come to university in my bike, i love this feeling, the freedom. In this context, i think the people in Santiago need to use the bike, someone’s live very near of they works or university, and even in this case they use cars or bus, that is not good. Ok we need many work to do, but as Lennon said: "I´m a dreamer, but i´m not the only one".
